It’s been so much fun to share a sneak peek at The Lost Heiress with you! I hope everyone enjoyed the first chapter that I shared on Thursday.
As I was chatting with the team about this contest, they suggested a cover reveal as part of the festivities, which got me SUPER excited–I didn’t know I could share so soon! But oh my gracious, y’all. Oh my gracious. This cover for book 2 in the Ladies of the Manor series is beyond gorgeous. And so, with no further ado, allow me to present Rowena from The Reluctant Duchess!!
I cannot begin to express how much I adore this cover. I love the cover for The Lost Heiress and really didn’t know how they’d top it, but…RED! I love the red dress. Seriously, truly love it. And I just have to point out what a fabulous job the cover team did. This is the photo I sent them for what I’d based Rowena’s physical appearance on:
My editor said she loved the expression on Emma Watson’s face here and that she’d tell them to try to match it. And they did! The soft eyes, the not-quite-smiling mouth, the hesitancy but honesty. Perfect for my reluctant duchess. =D
Here’s the official blurb for book 2.
Lady Rowena Kinnaird may be the heiress to a Highland
earldom, but she has never felt good enough—not for her father, not for the man
she thought she’d marry, not for God. But after a shocking attack, she’s
willing to be forever an outcast if it means escaping Loch Morar and the men
who have jeopardized her life.
Brice Myerston, the Duke of Nottingham, has suddenly found
himself in possession of a rare treasure his enemies are prepared to kill for.
While Brice has never been one to shy away from manor-born ladies, the last
thing he needs is the distraction of his neighbor, Lady Rowena, who finds
herself in a desperate situation. But when the moody Earl of Lochabar tries to
trap Brice into marrying Rowena, Brice finds he’s not as opposed to the idea as
he expected to be.Rowena wanted to escape the Highlands, but she’s reluctant to resort to marrying
a notorious flirt just to gain his English home. And when she learns that Brice
is mixed up in some kind of questionable business with a stolen treasure, she fears
she’s about to end up directly in the path of everything she was trying to
avoid.
Now back to the giveaway! I’ve added a new option for earning entries, so have at it and good luck!
LOL! I LOVE the new cover and even though I haven't had the opportunity to read this series yet I REALLY want to read and review the whole thing! 😀 And I'm VERY happy I found this giveaway! 😉
Hugs, Amada (pronounced: a.m.a.th.a) Chavez
I want in on your blog tour. 🙂
Gorgeous as always 🙂 Can't wait to read (as always). Always your blog flower 😉
Me too! Three cheers for historical fiction!!
That's totally how it's supposed to work, right?? 😉
Thank you, Colleen! And yes, yes it does, LOL. =)
I think they go out right around release–I haven't gotten that time line yet from the publisher, but that's when I got my influencer copy of Dina Sleiman's book.
Thanks!
So glad you loved Zipporah's story! My historicals romances like these aren't quite as intense as my biblical fiction, but you'll find some similar themes and styles. =)
Thanks, Dawn!
I love the cover! If the cover catches my eye I definitely will read the blurb! If I like that I try to get it or put it on my list to buy! I My favorite is Historical Fiction!
Love the cover. I choose most of my books by covers that I fall in love with. Then once I read the books, and fall in love with the author's writing, I want to read all of their books.
These books look great! And the cover on the new one looks amazing!
It's gorgeous!!!
Can't wait to read The Lost Heiress! How much longer until influencer copies go out?? 🙂
Looking forward to reading!
This series looks great. The only one of your books that I've read so far is "A Soft Breath of Wind." I loved it and am really looking forward to reading some of your other books. Thanks for the chance to win an ARC of The Lost Heiress.
I can't wait to read your newest books, Roseanna! 😀
Thank you, Karen! I couldn't be happier with these covers.
Thanks, Deana! This book is still 9 months from publication, but I'll be collecting influencers for the first one in the series soon. =) Be sure to keep an eye on my blog/Facebook page for that announcement–I'll have a Google form here for folks to fill out.
These books look amazing! And the covers are absolutely stunning.
The cover is breathtaking. Inside the book is a story waiting for readers to explore and become intrigued by the characters and their struggles. I would love to read this book and do a review. If you are looking for reviewers or influencers I would be honored if you considered me.
Just sent you a friend request on Facebook so I can tag you when I make the announcement and link to a sign-up form. =)
I know, the detail is exquisite! And I was thrilled when they gave me that final title. Its working title had been The Outcast Duchess, which I came up with but never really loved, LOL–when they recommended Reluctant instead, it got an immediate, "YES!" from me. =)
That's one of the things I most appreciate about social media too! Be sure to check in a few times over the next few months to watch for that influencer call, or follow me on Facebook so you see when I announce it. I'll put you on my "remind" list and try to find you when the time comes. =)
Me too! Love seeing that subset of the genre grow!
Love it! The detail on the dress is gorgeous and I really like the book title.
I look forward to reading your books. One of the things I like about facebook is finding new authors that I wasn't aware of. I would love to be on your influencers list if possible! Thank you for the giveaway!
Hi Roseanna, I am excited to have more CBA authors writing English Historical Romance! I'm looking forward to reading this series!
Thank you, Katie! I'll be putting together an influencer list soon–stay tuned. =)
Isn't it? =)
They always grab my attention too! Thanks!
Thanks, Jan! I love knowing my books are in libraries. =)
The cover is gorgeous! I can't wait to read both books! I also review/blog! 😉
So fun to see the inspiration behind great covers!
Cover reveals are a great way to grab my attention; being a visual learner, I hardly ever forget a cover! Looking forward to both of these next books!
looking forward to reading it. I'll order it from my library immediately. Thanks for the giveway opportunity!
Thank you, Amy! And yes, SO exciting!
LOL. Well that is a good difficulty to have! "Read them all!" she says with a maniacal laugh. 😉
Thank you! I'm always drawn in first by covers too. =)
I just added you to my pre-list list too, so I'll remember to tag you when I post about it. =)
So exciting!!! Thanks so much for the giveaway, congrats on your publishing! <3
All your covers are stunning! wow! I am having a hard time trying to decide which one I would read first! Glad to have discovered you!
Love all your books and these look just as good. For me, the cover is the first choice I make when picking my ebooks. Your new series is just as beautiful as the Culper ring and others.
I will be watching!
I'll be putting a list together for the first book in the next month or two, I think. Stay tuned. =)
I am looking forward to reading both books! Do you have an influencer list? I regularly review on Goodreads and Amazon. I would love to help you promote your books. Have a great day!
