I admit it. I love a good subscription box. I love knowing it’s coming (ANTICIPATION!!!), I love wondering what will be in it (SURPRISES!), and I love discovering new things through it (INTRODUCTIONS!).

I’ve subscribed to food boxes…makeup boxes for my daughter…clothes boxes.

I LOVE THEM ALL.

And there are a lot of book boxes out there too. Fantasy boxes. Kids boxes. Christian fiction boxes. Those are fabulous. Who doesn’t love getting surprised by books?? It’s a fantastic way to be introduced to new authors, get special editions, and be delighted by some items that tie in with the book, too.

But…what about a box that isn’t books…and yet is aimed at book lovers?

What about a box full of book-themed jewelry…and clothing…and mugs…and notepads. Book-themed pens…and bookmarks…and tote bags…and ornaments. What about all those bookish delights that make us go “Gasp! YES! I need that to proclaim my book-love!”

Ever since I opened up the Bookish Things shop, I’ve been saving every single bookish product that makes me grin and gasp. And now, it’s all coming together in one box of delights, sent straight to your door!

This monthly subscription box will have seasonal items where appropriate, new things each month. A few of them you may have spotted on my site before, but most will be new, and very few of these things are available on Amazon or at other online retailers.

How to Sign Up

We’re launching the Box of Bookish Things with a waiting-list model. This first month there will only be TWENTY BOXES. Next month we’ll scale up to FIFTY.

Sign up for the waiting-list with the form below. The first twenty to sign up will be sent a private purchase link for this first month; the others will be offered first chance at next month’s box, as will this month’s purchasers.

November – Christmas Themed, featuring ornaments and items that combine Christmas and books

Okay, guys, I am sooooo excited to tell you about this today! For the past month-ish, I’ve been working on expanding my shop, and finally, the results are ready to show you!!

It started when we were on vacation. For us, “vacation” is really just the best brainstorming of the year. 😉 As we were walking on the beach and chatting, one of the topics was how to make even more cool stuff available in my store. I had tons of ideas…but of course, the problem is that I only have so much time. So I can’t just make everything I think of (never mind that I don’t have the skills, LOL). So I decided to look some things up. And next thing I know, I’m hours into browsing products by other individuals and artisans and I have found SO MANY that are a perfect fit!

And that’s what I’m about to show you! I’ve put together a ton of cool stuff. Some of it ties directly to one book of mine or another…some of it appeals to a general bookish audience. A few are especially for writers. I have some Christmas merch too, including new designs I just unveiled this week! A few highlights:

Actually, I’m not just announcing totes, I’m announcing a whole cute little division. 😉 Bookish Tees and Totes will soon be a store on Etsy as well (once I get lovely photos taken) and for now directs to the T-shirt page on my website. Y’all have already been introduced to my Codebreakers T-shirts…I’ll be adding general bookish tees as well, not specific to my books, and–as the subject line suggests–TOTE BAGS!

Okay, y’all, I am SO EXCITED about this one. =) We’ve been tossing around the idea of T-shirts forever but have never actually put it into reality. Last week, though, I decided it was high time I actually put some cotton behind my ideas. 😉 So I’m excited to announce the arrival of Codebreaker T-Shirts!

Here’s How It Works

Right now, they’re set up for pre-order in my store, with a release date of February 10. That date is rather randomly chosen and could shift either direction–the actual deciding factor of when a shirt will go into production is when that design reaches 10 orders (enough to justify buying the screen to print them from). But order now, and you won’t be charged until/unless the shirts are made!
There’s also a pre-order sale going on to encourage those initial 10 orders. 😉 Regular pricing will be $19.99 for XS-XL (2XL $20.99 and 3XL $21.99), but from now until February 10, prices start at $14.99!

The Shirts

Right now I’m only offering 1 shirt style–a V-neck, super-soft, short-sleeve fitted tee that’s 60% cotton and 40% polyester jersey. I have one of these already, and I can assure you that it’s a great shirt! Each design comes in 3 color choices, and I’m offering sizes from XS-3XL. (These are fitted, so they’re a bit snugger than a non-fitted shirt. If you like a looser fit, go up a size.)
