I’m so excited to be hosting Carrie Turansky in this year’s Scavenger Hunt! Carrie and I both write English-set historical romance set in the early 20th century, and I’ve found her to be such a huge encouragement and supporter as I joined her in this era of writing! Many people don't realize how many people were working on a plane for first flight. There is a story in mid-Tennessee about a man that built and flew his plane before the Wright brothers, but didn't have the same publicity to be able to claim First In Flight. Timing, placement, circumstances all work together to form the path our lives take. Our wishes, ambitions, and hard work can influence the outcome, but can not always overcome the other factors.
I’m reading Carrie’s Governess of Highland Hall right now. I’ve been following the launch of Across the Blue, and I’m excited about reading it.

Across the Blue sounds really interesting! I recently finished a book about Eddie Rickenbacker, who drove race cars and became a flying ace during WWI. The window into the dawn of "the age of speed" was really fascinating to me.
So enjoy reading books that incorporates history.
