Zivon Marin was one of Russia's top cryptographers, until the October Revolution tore apart his world. Forced to flee after speaking out against Lenin and separated from his brother along the way, he arrives in England driven by a growing anger and determined to offer his services to the Brits.

Lily Blackwell sees the world best through the lens of a camera--and possesses unsurpassed skill when it comes to retouching and recreating photographs. With her father's connections in propaganda, she's recruited to the intelligence division, even though her mother would disapprove.

After Captain Blackwell invites Zivon to dinner one evening, a friendship blooms between him and Lily. He sees patterns in what she deems chaos; she sees beauty in a world he thought destroyed. But both have secrets they're unwilling to share. When her photographs reveal that someone has been following Zivon, his loyalties are called into question--and his enemies are discovered to be far closer than he'd feared.

I found The Number of Love through Amazon Prime reads. It sounded interesting and I ended up falling in love with the series. I didn’t even know she was a Christian author I simply stumbled across her work. Every book in the series became better and better. By the third book I was in love with the way the characters are intertwined. She has quickly become one of my favorite fiction authors all on a whim!!

Roseanna has such a way of writing these characters, that you quickly grow to love them. I love that her previous characters make cameos in her book series, and they way her characters relationship with God grows. She weaves in so many pieces of Gods truth, his promises and brings hope as you read her stores. They are so well written! I am sure I will read many many more of her books.

I read this book during the pandemic in a season of halted wedding plans and this book hit home. I don’t want to give anything away but what she was writing about was so timely and I felt for these characters as if they were my friends… And during the pandemic they were essentially just that.

I am having a literary themed wedding and have decided these books need to be on the head table with me and my soon to be husband. I has planned on buying them anyway and I think it would be even more special to have these characters stories with me in celebration as they were my close companions in the waiting season.

I can’t stop from gushing about Roseanna. She is so personable. I reached out to her at the end of reading the series to say what these books meant to me, and it shocked me that she responded, and so sweetly I might add! In addition, I heard her on a Christian Historical Fiction podcast and simply admire her.

I am so thankful that God have her such a gift of story telling and that she continues to write.

I wanted to take a few minutes to sing her praises because her stories have now have a piece of my heart. I am buying the signed copies because I value her as a writer and want to support her work because is has been a blessing in my life.

I could explain the intricacies of the story line, the ever-thrilling plot, and the completion of a wonderful series (The Codebreakers), but A Portrait of Loyalty is my new favorite book by Roseanna White for her amazing characters! Lily Blackwell is beyond talented with her picture taking (and editing) skills and does necessary work for in the war effort, but her best quality is how she sees life, which is usually captured by film. She makes every decision with her heart and is the ideal sister and friend! Her counterpart, Zivon Marin notices minute details, and reacts in super-human speed. His professional history is intriguing and yet the struggles that he’s endured at the hands of his enemies are what has shaped him tremendously. Both Lily and Zivon’s story makes for a parade of glorious scenes in the reader’s head, but after the last page is turned, their personalities will be the lasting image of this book!
When you’re ready to add this beauty of a book to your shelf, why not get a personalized, signed copy? (Plus, who doesn’t love supporting our favorite authors?)

I received a complimentary copy of A Portrait of Loyalty from the publishers. I am not required to provide a positive review. All of the gushing is my own reaction to a great book!
